Alvaro Murillo

Alvaro Murillo with a degree in Dance Psychopedagogy and Performer Techniques, participated in the training program of the À Corps Festival (France) receiving training from choreographers such as Imre Thorman (Butoh), Laurent Falguieras, declares himself self-taught in his way of approaching the flamenco language together with contemporary dance. He received the award for best degree in Physical Activity Sciences and is currently pursuing a PhD on the physical and cerebral effects of dance and creativity on people with chronic pain. Together with Pablo Molero and Juanlu León organizes the International Festival of Danza DZM (Extremadura) and in 2018 he creates the work El Barbero de Picasso, presented at the National Theater in Nairobi (Kenya).

In 2020 he carried out a creative residency at the DT Space for the production of the work Flamencas, a journey through the women who have fought through time in this art that was premiered at the Heritage Scene Festival produced by UNESCO and also begins to work for the flamenco circus and dance company Albadulake, in the Serrana project..
